A Treasury of Civil War Songs: Collected, edited and arranged by Tom Glazer (Piano/Vocal/Guitar Songbook) [Paperback] Review

A Treasury of Civil War Songs: Collected, edited and arranged by Tom Glazer [Paperback]Well, I don't actually have the songbook. But not too terribly long after Tom Glazer died, I bought a copy of his CD "A Treasury of Civil War Songs."I knew I'd love it since I loved his children's songs as a child and I've always loved civil war music. My grandfather (also a civil war historian and music lover) loves the CD too.The only reason I didn't give this product 5 stars is that, when Glazer sings some of the songs, he doesn't omit the now derogatory term "darkey,"which is a civil war era term for African Americans.

So, take my advice.Buy yourself a copy. And if you like it, why not try to start a campaign going to get all of Mr. Glazer's other wonderful albums back into print and on CD.
