Honestly giving this only 5 stars and saying $15 is a great deal for this wonderful book is an understatement. This book contains almost every song that made the 50s what they were and if you grew up in that time period, you will see how great variety this book contains for Rock n' Roll, to barbershop, to surfin'. I own a decade series book from the same era, and this book definatly blows it away in terms of song selection and content, the decade series you need to buy 2 or 3 books from that decade to get everything you want, but this book has it all, over 100 full songs that are all good songs, and it even includes lyrics, guitar chords, and everything to satisfy. Buy this if you are into the 50s, I'm surprised you haven't already, next time I buy a book I am going to buy another essentials songs from a dififerent decade, as it offers more than what you pay for and keeps you on the bench and has enough songs to satisfy you for years in each book.
