The arrangements are refreshing, fairly easy to play without being overly simple, and have interesting harmonies to create a unique setting. With plenty of 9ths, diminished chords, and alternative phrasing, this collection offers a new way to present tried and faithful hymns. If you or your church are not ready to try newer styles, this collection is not for you. But if you are comfortable with the 88 black and whites and have a decent ear for contemporary harmonies, this is right on the mark!
