Hymns for Praise and Worship (Contemporary Christian Songbooks) [Spiral-bound] Review

Hymns for Praise and Worship [Spiral-bound]This IS an excellent book. It REALLY is. I agree with the first person who posted.... HOWEVER .... It seems as though John E. Coates only knows one kind of Rhythm style, and that's the dotted eight sixteenth note tied to eighth note yada yada yada. It's a VERY predictable rhythm pattern, which DOES make it simple HOWEVER .... I think 80% of the music ALL have that same rhytmic feel. So, as you start from the beginning of the book, the first couple are COOL, but then, you start feeling, "Okay, been there, done that, want something new ...." and it becomes boring. I would have tough time playing most of these in a single sitting since they ALL have the same rhythmic pattern.

Change it up a bit. Don't be so predictive.

Just my thoughts ... I DO like it though, don't get me wrong.
