Stageline - X-Type Padded Keyboard Bench KB51 Review

Nice firm seat, much wider than I thought it would be. Great for a higher seat. It appeared for $59, bill arrived printed for $79 which was confusing. Arrived very quickly in perfect condition.

Quik-Lok BX-14 Padded Keyboard Bench Review

It's really hard to tell the quality and size of the benches seen online from a simple picture and the numbers quoted (occasionally)in profiles. That being said, this is the second bench I've bought online, the first being proportioned for Golem from LOTR.

This bench is a high quality product. It has a very thick pad for comfort and has an adjustable range set for an averaged sized person which provides for proper posture when playing a standard sized keyboard or piano.Other products may be a little cheaper...but they're also undersized to save on material costs....and they make you play the piano in a very uncomfortable position.Spend a little extra and buy a bench like this, so you'll enjoy your time playing!

ADJUSTRITE Musician's Chair by Vivo USA Review

I play acoustic guitar sitting down and do about 50 gigs a year.It seems like there is never a decent chair in the coffee houses and other venues I play in to use. They're either really uncomfortable or so rickety I think they're going to fall over at any time.I have been looking for something for a long time that is comfortable, portable, and reasonably priced. Stools just don't cut it and everything in a chair I've looked at over the years has been heavy, non collapsible, or so expensive I could practically buy another guitar with what they cost. This thing is great! At $159 it is extremely reasonable. It is also very comfortable and has a lot of adjustability and feels VERY solid. And, it folds up like a simple folding auditorium chair you'd see almost anywhere so it takes up very little space when I'm packing for a gig.It certainly would also work well for cello, violin and other players who sit while playing.I'll probably buy a second one just to have when someone sits in with me. 5 stars!!!!!

Musician's Gear Deluxe Keyboard Bench Review

This is a decent bench. It arrives fully assembled. Height ss pretty easy to adjust. The only criticism, the padding is a bit on the firm side. The bench solidly built and feels very stable. Given the good amount of adjustment this will work well for keyboard playing. We're using it as a guitar stool / bench, and it works beautifully for that purpose.

On Stage KT7800 Padded Keyboard Bench Review

On Stage sell two benches that are easy to confuse because they have similar model numbers:

KT7880
Adjustable height:18.75", 20", 20.50"
Weight capacity: 300 lbs.
Seat: 12" x 17"; 2" cushion
Weight:11.5 lbs.

KT7880+ On Stage KT7800 Plus Keyboard Bench
Adjustable height: 19", 21", 23", 25"
Weight capacity: 360 lbs.
Seat: 12.5" x 23.5"; 3" cushion
Weight:14 lbs.

This one (KT7880) is a no-frills basic bench. Each leg has 3 holes for the pivot bolt. Height is adjusted by removing the pivot bolt and reinstalling it with two washers through a different pair of holes. This is not difficult, but if the intent is to adjust it several times a day for different members of the family, I'd choose a different style. The advantage of this design is once you set the height, it remains until you intentionally change it.

One side of the scissor base is permanently attached to the seat with brackets that allow it to pivot; the other side fits into 2 c-shaped brackets. To keep the legs from collapsing when you lift the bench off the floor, you hand tighten a bolt across the opening of each c bracket whenever you set it up; the bolts have plastic knobs. This works fine for most applications. But if I were assembling half a dozen of them several times a day, I'd prefer a single lever latch.

The larger KT7880+ has a different design for adjusting height, best understood by going to the onstagestands web site and entering "KT7800+" in the search box.

For home use, I'm happy with the KT7880. It's sturdy and comfortable, utilitarian in appearance with decent workmanship (China), folds for storage or travel, sets up and adjusts easily without tools. A good value.
